Yesterday went with a number of other photographers to an area near Kilcunda, a costal town in Victoria Australia. The group organiser had found a great vantage point overlooking Western Port Bay. After a brief interlude whilst a thunderstorm passed overhead we proceeded to the vantage point, only to find that the storm had not passed completely. So it was a case of standing in rain whilst trying to get a shot of the sunsetting over Western Port bay.
These are two of the shots I managed before it became to uncomfortable to stay.
If you never been to Princes Pier then this is what you have missed. However one does need to do long exposure for this scene to work. It also helps if you are lucky enough to get a really good sunset. So far I haven’t, every time its been a fail for sunset. Still I hope you enjoy this shot. If you want it on your wall then contact me about the size you want and we can work out the price including shipping. Typically for a 40 inch on the long side I ask for $400 AU.
Just in case you wanted more than one photo of dramatic storm images to grace your I have for your pleasure two more. These are taken with a different camera so they are not available in the same size as the first one published yesterday. Price for the largest print at 40 inches on the long side is $400 AU shipped to you.
Have a spare bit of wall that demands a highly dramatic piece of art, well this photo may be for you. Its in black and white of an approaching heavy rain storm just before the cloud band plunges the scene into a very dull vista. I have made this monocromatic because there was so little colour in the original, just muted blue-grey. Its available in any size you want up to at least 40 inches on the long side (just over a metre for the metric people) for $500 AU shipped to you on Lustre paper. For canvas it is production cost plus 30%.
Imagine this matching your decor, the soft palette of colours, all pastels, derived from an early morning long exposure photograph of a rock awash with waves. The delicate colours of early dawn beautifully reflected and mixed with the soft toned blues.
Available as a 24 by 16 inch print shipped to you for $400 (AU).

Tenby Point in Victoria, a scene that evokes peace and a deep appreciation of the world we live in. Carefully positioned camera , subtle use of long exposure and a deliberate intent to remove the horizon by letting the light wash out the details renders this scene as one of great beauty.
The old log reminds of the past whilst the younger tree immersed in the water speaks of the future, the strength and vigour of youth willing to take on the challenges that life brings, without ignoring the direction that the old bring to our world.
