For some reason which I don’t understand photographing bicycles holds a certain fascination. Is it their form and shape, i.e the bicycle is balanced around a central point with two circles or is it much deeper than that.
One might muse that it is capturing the means of transport and thereby a means of escape. Thereby fulfilling some deep psychological need that is resident in our brains. Somehow that for me does not ring true. I think it is about shape and form, the balance. Lines are graceful, complete and flow nicely from one wheel to the other and make a continuous loop if one traces the frame between the wheels. However I will stand to be corrected on this if someone does know why bicycles make endearing photographs.
Enough of the philosophical discussion here is my recent capture of a bicycle. Hope you like it, let me know what you think politely of course.
