Fitzroy Gardens

Melbourne is blessed with beautiful gardens near the CBD.  Fitzroy Gardens is one of those that has much to offer.  Beautiful trees, well kept grass areas and Captain Cooks Cottage,  the original transported to Australia from the UK and reassembled,  a must see for tourists.  There is also a conservatory in the Fitzroy Gardens as well.

Yesterday I finally had time to stop and walk around through part of the gardens with a camera.  I concentrated mostly on the tall trees lining the footpaths.  This is one of them.  Again it is in black and white and I have emphasised the tree trunks and lightened most other colours to soft greys.

This is also a case of where a crop adds more to the photograph.  I have removed a fair amount of the foreground,  mostly footpath to bring all of the attention to the trees.

Hope you like it.
